Wheel-thrown vase, altered with a slab bottom. This low vase design will be a great center piece that can be left on the table. The images show different sides of the vase. The decoration is achieved by layering colored slips over hand-cut paper stencils. After the first firing, a black wash is applied, then it's dipped in a clear glaze. Fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.
